B&B London is an interesting type of stay – not quite a small hotel and certainly not a quaint little bed and breakfast either.  These rooms are somewhere in between and can be a great change from the norm.  If you’re looking to save money but still want to stay somewhere nice, London b&b’s may just be the answer.

To get started on your search, you should go to Book Direct Rooms.com.  They are the Number 1 B&B booking site in the UK and have over 2,500 independent Hotels, B&Bs and Guest Houses throughout the UK which they review and can book for you.

Once on their site, you are able to really whittle down your choices easily and look thoroughly at what is on offer.  For example, they rate the Abbey Court Hotel as a B&B and give it 4 stars.  It’s in a great location in Pembridge Gardens, Kensington.  It’s close to Portobello Road antiques market, restaurants, and the Notting Hill Gate tube stop.  It’s also very close to Paddington station where you can get the Heathrow Express.

Originally, this was a 5 storey private home.  It now has 22 bedrooms with brass or four-posters, all with private marble bathrooms (and Jaccuzzi tubs).  They serve a complimentary buffet breakfast in the conservatory and in the afternoon, you can enjoy tea there or in the private garden.

A very comfortable and pretty single room with marble “ensuite” (in-room bathroom) will run around £105.00 with breakfast and includes tax.  Amenities include high-speed internet, hairdryer, a safe, phone, trouser press and satellite television. There are also “Double Ensuite” rooms for approximately £140.00 and a “Twin Ensuite” for the same price.
